(Reporter Cui Xinyao) The 24th China Northern International Bicycle and Electric Vehicle Exhibition, which lasted for three days, concluded on March 29th at the National Exhibition Center (Tianjin). According to the organizers, the total transaction value of this exhibition exceeded 5 billion yuan, and the cumulative number of visitors exceeded 200,000. Among them, overseas and domestic dealers and professional visitors accounted for over 80%.
As the first large-scale industry exhibition since the implementation of the mandatory national standard "Safety Technical Specifications for Electric Bicycles" (GB17761 - 2024) (hereinafter referred to as the new standard), the new standard has become a frequently-mentioned term throughout the exhibition. Major brands have accelerated the research and production of products that comply with the new standard in their production bases in Tianjin, promoting the optimization and iteration of the entire industry chain from research and design to large-scale production, and moving towards a standardized and orderly high-quality development path.
During the exhibition, the organizing committee held the "Green Silk Road, Intelligent World" Tianjin Bicycle and Electric Vehicle Industry Cross-border Cooperation and Procurement Connection Meeting. About 50 overseas buyers from 15 countries and nearly 200 exhibitor representatives conducted precise connections, and on-site reached an intended transaction value of approximately 12 million US dollars. The products covered complete vehicles, spare parts, and related products. In addition, the 7th "Go Global" International Procurement Connection Meeting (Vietnam Special Session) was held simultaneously, and dozens of Vietnamese buyers and Chinese enterprises conducted business negotiations on bicycle, electric bicycle complete vehicles, and component requirements.
This exhibition also set up an industry innovation product achievement exhibition, where 33 technology enterprises showcased the latest achievements in vehicle innovation, core components, and intelligent manufacturing. The new standard electric bicycle publicity and promotion area gathered over 20 well-known brands and more than 100 products, providing one-stop services such as vehicle purchase and registration for consumers on-site.
